An Updated Ender3 Line-Up From Creality
It’s Feb 2024 and things have changed a great deal since the time i first pulled this tutorial together. This 3D printing course was put together many years ago when the Ender 3 Pro had a lions share of the “Affordable 3D printing” market. Fast forward 5 years and many things have changed. There are so many Ender 3 clones out there it’s hard to keep track and their numbers only increase by the day. Bamboo Labs has taken on Creality and launched 3D printers across the range aiming them at makers who are interested to get into 3D printing but do not want to dabble with the underlying technicalities.
FDM printers like the Ender 3 Pro are printing at mind boggling speeds i.e. 600 mm/s, so gone of the days when you would have to print at 30mm/s if you wanted a decent print. Cartesian printers are being challenged by the new kid on the block i.e. Core X Y printers, they are higher priced but also seem to deliver better quality outcomes in a shorter time span. Not wanting to re-write the entire track I have decided to add a new tutorial to provide the user a view of some of the new 3D printing capabilities that are worth considering if you are just getting into 3D printing.
