Lesson 1 – Building The GoPiGo
Prerequisites
This development track is based on the GoPiGo 3. If you haven’t purchased a GoPiGo 3 yet please head over to OzToyLib and purchase one now. The recommended Bill Of Material for this courses includes –
- GoPiGo Robot –
- GoPiGo Line Sensor
- GoPiGo Servo Package
Depending on where you live you might also be able to pick up a GoPiGo 3 at your local electronics hobby store.
We recommend that you pick up a GoPiGo 3 Advanced started Kit which includes the following components –
- GoPiGo3 Base Kit
- Raspberry Pi 3
- GoPiGo Servo Package
- Distance Sensor
- microSD Card
- The SD card included has a custom Operating System created by Dexter Industries called DexterOS, so you can use it to program in Bloxter & Python,
- To program in other languages like Node.js, Java, C and others, you’ll need to download and install Raspbian for Robots yourself onto this SD card.
- Power Supply Wall Adapter (110-240V)
- 6″ Ethernet Cable
